It's fantasy basketball draft season, and that has managers scrambling to do all the research they can on fantasy basketball rankingssleepers and busts to avoid.

The Duel is here to help every step of the way.

Here are our top sleepers and busts at the shooting guard position for 2021-22 fantasy basketball drafts.

SG Sleepers for Fantasy Basketball

1. Kevin Porter Jr., Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets' Kevin Porter Jr. has a great shot at being a fantasy steal this year, especially with an average draft position (ADP) of 85.3, according to Fantasy Pros. The 21-year-old averaged 14.1 field goal attempts per game last season — nearly six more than 2019-20 — and turned that into 16.6 points per game. He'll slide under the radar because of of the addition of Jalen Green, but Porter also showed flashes as a facilitator (6.3 assists per game) last year, and an added scoring threat in Houston should help with efficiency across the board.

2. Malik Monk, Los Angeles Lakers

With Russell Westbrook joining the organization, it's easy to forget that the Los Angeles Lakers added Malik Monk this offseason. However, he does benefit by not being one of the primary scoring options on the team. While the opposition's top players focus on Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Monk should see his fair share of open looks. He shot a career-best .401 from three-point range last season and his 20.1 points per 36 minutes proved that he can handle the occasional bigger load. Even if he doesn't see a lot of time in L.A.'s starting lineup, Monk can also rack up points coming off the bench against the opposition's secondary unit.

3. Klay Thompson

Make no mistake about it: a large portion of the basketball world can't wait until Klay Thompson returns to the court — whenever that happens. With that being said, he's currently carrying an ADP of 91.0 on Fantasy Pros. That's pretty high considering he hasn't played a league game since the 2018-19 NBA Finals. He's coming off a torn ACL and torn Achilles, which are both major injuries to return from, individually. While he might still be a good shooter like he's always been (.575 career true shooting percentage), his mobility will likely take a blow. Keeping that in mind, Thompson is not a player you want to draft inside of the Top 100 this year.

4. Caris LeVert, Indiana Pacers

Caris LeVert has an ADP of 61.3 at the moment and is Fantasy Pros' No. 16-ranked shooting guard. LeVert has, no doubt, proven he can be an offensive threat, as proven by the 20.2 PPG he averaged in 47 contests last season. Unfortunately, it's his ability to remain healthy that makes him a potential bust. LeVert has missed 94 games over the last three seasons and is coming off of a "minor" stress fracture that he suffered at the end of September. When LeVert is good, he's good, but using a fifth- or sixth-round pick on a player who's only played more than 57 games once in his career is way too risky.
