Fantasy baseball owners should constantly be making moves in order to bolster their roster and the waiver wire is the easiest way to find players to make the necessary improvements. With Week 9 almost complete, here are five potential pickups that could give your fantasy team the boost it needs to pull out a victory this week.

1. Renato Nunez, 1B/3B, Baltimore Orioles

Renato Nunez has been absolutely tearing the cover off the ball over the past seven days, batting .364 with three homers and seven RBI in his last 22 at-bats. Nunez is still available in 69 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues and should be a priority add for anyone in need of power at either of the corner-infield positions.

2. David Fletcher, 2B/3B/SS/OF, Los Angeles Angels

David Fletcher has seemingly flown under the fantasy radar this season. The 25-year-old utility man is batting an impressive .353 with one homer and one steal along with a combined 12 runs and RBI over the past seven days. Fletcher, who has batted leadoff for the Angels in five of their last eight games, is available in 64 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues and makes for an excellent pickup for anyone in need of a steady bat with position flexibility.

3. Mallex Smith, OF, Seattle Mariners

Mallex Smith was having a 2019 season to forget until he went for the steals cycle on May 27. The 26-year-old speedster batted first in the subsequent three games for the Mariners, racking up five hits in 12 at-bats to go along with another two steals and four RBI. Smith's sub-.200 batting average on the season is likely the reason he's still available in 54 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues, but he could single-handedly win your team the steals category in any given week.

4. Sonny Gray, SP, Cincinnati Reds

Sonny Gray is in the middle of a bounce-back season with the Reds. The 29-year-old righty has been locked in over his last two starts, tallying a 2-0 record with a microscopic 0.75 ERA and 16 strikeouts across 12 innings pitched. Gray is still available in 55 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues and gets a home start against the Nationals on Sunday.

5. Scott Oberg, RP, Colorado Rockies

Scott Oberg has thrived since taking over the Rockies' closer job after Wade Davis was placed on the injured list. The right-hander has racked up two wins and a save in his last six appearances with nine strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings pitched. Somehow, Oberg is still available in 69 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues, but he's a must-add if you're in need of saves this week.
