The Atlanta Falcons may have missed the postseason for the fourth straight year, but the season saw a huge bright spot in the breakout campaign of do-it-all running back Cordarrelle Patterson. The RB/WR put up a career-best 1,166 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns last year, and his impending free agency should see a number of suitors.

Patterson continues to express his love and gratitude for the city of Atlanta, leaving Falcons fans will a lot of hope for him re-signing.

This isn't the first occasion in which Patterson has expressed his desire to stay in this offseason. He's already described his time with the Falcons as having “spoiled” him and even "[campaigned] relentlessly" for the Falcons to re-sign him.

It's hard to ignore the dominant season Patterson enjoyed in 2021 where he rushed for 618 yards and six TDs while hauling in 52-of-69 targets for another 548 yards and 5 TDs.

Patterson will be 31 at the start of next season, which of course plays a factor in GM Terry Fontenot's thinking.
