Extreme Weather Forecast Could Disrupt Mets' Series With Rockies

The NL East-leading New York Mets are set to begin a three-game road series against the Colorado Rockies on Friday. Unfortunately, it's looking like the two Major League clubs could be dealing with some pretty extreme weather for this time of the year.
The forecast in Colorado, where the Mets head after today's homestand finale, seems fun.

Mets vs Rockies Weather Forecast
After Denver will see a high of 88 degrees on Thursday, the temperature is expected to plummet to a low of just 32 degrees with rain on Friday. The frigid temperature could certainly affect how the players will interact with the ball, whether on offense or defense.
If that wasn't bad enough, the low on Saturday is projected to be 29 degrees with a chance of snow. Yes, you read that correctly: snow in May. There's also a chance of snow with a high of 40 degrees and a low of 30 on Sunday.
The Mets have absolutely dominated the Rockies in recent history, winning nine of the last 12 meetings between the two teams. New York has also won four of its last five trips to Colorado, leaving some to wonder if that trend will continue despite the upcoming wild weather.
At the same time, cold temperatures and precipitation can make for unpredictable outcomes, leaving time to tell which club will ultimately win the series.
Even though betting odds aren't out yet, the Mets will likely be the betting favorites ahead of the series. After all, the Mets have +800 ods (No. 3) to win the 2022 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook, whereas the Rockies only have +20000 odds (T-No. 20).
