The Philadelphia Eagles just traded one of their three first-round picks to the New Orleans Saints. But that doesn't mean the Eagles won't land three first-round talents in the 2022 NFL Draft, as ESPN's Todd McShay projects the Eagles to get quite a steal in his latest mock.

Eagles Mock Draft

McShay projects the Eagles to shore up the defensive line by taking edge rusher David Ojabo at No. 51 overall. Of course, the Michigan standout was widely considered a top-15 prospect before tearing his Achilles at his pro day. The injury is a concern, sure, but landing a top-15 talent at No. 51 is tough to pass up.

Ojabo destroyed offensive lines during his time with the Wolverines. He racked up 35 tackles (12.0 for loss), 11.0 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 3 pass breakups in his junior season alone (13 games). The 21-year-old possesses a deep arsenal of moves he can use to cause chaos in the backfield.

The Eagles line up as a great landing spot for Ojabo given their need at defensive line isn't immediate. Brandon Graham and Haason Reddick can hold down the fort in 2022, but Ojabo could be Philadelphia's future at EDGE once he's back to full strength.

While there is a risk that Ojabo will never return to the form he showed this past fall, Philadelphia has built a reputation for taking chances on injured prospects. General manager Howie Roseman has proven he is not afraid to swing big in order to strengthen his team at a position of need.

The 2022 NFL Draft is set to get underway on Thursday, April 28.
