Between Carson Wentz's early-season struggles and the Philadelphia Eagles' shocking fall to 1-4-1 on the season after a tough Week 6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, good news out of Eagles' camp has been far and few between this fall.

However, the latest injury update for wide receiver DeSean Jackson couldn't have come at a better time for Philadelphia as they prepare to turn around on a short week's rest to take on their division rival New York Giants this Thursday night.

Jackson, who has been dealing with a hamstring issue that has forced him to miss Week 4, 5 and 6, is now reportedly expected to make his return Thursday night against the Giants. While he has yet to haul in a score this year, his combined 10 receptions and 121 yards are a much-needed boost to a Philly receiving corps that has already been depleted by injury this season.

In yet another splash of optimistic news, the Eagles have also already opened as convincing 6-point home favorites over the struggling G-Men, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, ahead of Thursday night's matchup.
