Dwyane Wade is in the midst of his final season, but he has a chance to conclude his career with an award he's never won. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Wade now has the fourth-best odds to win the NBA's 6th Man of the Year award at +1900.
While Wade is unlikely to pass prohibitive favorite Lou Williams (-950), this recent stretch has seen Wade's odds jump from +9500 on March 11, to +1900 on March 25.
Wade has been playing great basketball since the All-Star break, averaging 15.1 points per game (PPG) while shooting 45.1 percent from the field in just 26.0 minutes per game. That's a sizable increase on the the 14.0 PPG and 43.3 percent shooting he was averaging before the All-Star break.
Wade's improved play has even helped keep the Miami Heat in the playoff hunt.
Wade still has to overcome the all-time leader in bench points to win the award, but if anyone can do it, it's Flash. Even if Wade doesn't end up winning 6th Man of the Year, this recent stretch has reminded NBA fans why he's one of the greatest shooting guards of all time.
