The Miami Dolphins are heading into a big offseason that could see a lot of changes to the roster and coaching staff. In fact, some of those changes have already begun.
Dolphins Fire Josh Boyer
Miami's first big move came on Thursday when the Dolphins fired defensive coordinator Josh Boyer. Boyer was Miami's defensive coordinator since 2020 and had been with the organization since 2019. The Dolphins will now begin the search for his replacement.
Despite having a ton of talent, the Dolphins' defense struggled this season, giving up the ninth-most points in the NFL at 23.5 per game. Thie defense steadily declined during Boyer's three seasons as DC, necessitating his removal.
Fortunately for the Dolphins, there's no shortage of coordinators available with other teams recently firing theirs as well, so Miami should have several intriguing candidates to choose from.
