The Los Angeles Dodgers kept their season alive on Thursday night, but the evening didn't go 100% according to plan. Reliever Joe Kelly operated as an opener in the contest and managed to pitch only 0.2 innings before he was taken out of the ballgame mid-at-bat.

Following the Dodgers 11-2 victory, manager Dave Roberts revealed that Kelly suffered a biceps strain and will be done for the season.

Joe Kelly Injury Update

This is another tough injury blow for Los Angeles after All-Star infielder Justin Turner went down with a hamstring issue that ended his season early.

Kelly is of the most reliable arms in the Dodgers bullpen, pitching to a 2.86 ERA and 0.977 WHIP throughout 48 appearances.

Los Angeles pulled to a 2-3 deficit in the NLCS with Thursday's win and looks to shock the Atlanta Braves again in 2021. It was only a year ago that Roberts and his team overcame another 3-1 NLCS deficit against the Braves before taking home the title last October.

Heading into Game 6, the Dodgers are listed as -176 moneyline favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook.
