Ever since his 2019 NFL Scouting Combine performance, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has been lauded for his incredible athleticism and speed. That happens easily when a 6'4", 230-pound wideout runs a blazing 4.3-second 40-yard dash time.

Metcalf's speed is so impressive that he's decided to put this to the ultimate test. On Sunday, the two-year NFL veteran will compete in the 100-meter dash at the USATF Golden Games.

The idea of Metcalf and other NFL speedsters competing for an Olympic spot was floated out by the USATF back in October. Metcalf took this invitation seriously.

The 2020 Pro Bowl selection will automatically qualify if his 100-meter dash time breaks below 10.05 seconds. Despite catching 10 touchdowns and recording 1,303 yards last season for the Seahawks, Metcalf will have to shake some of his rust off. He hasn't competed in track and field competitively since high school.

Still, Metcalf's next-level speed gives him a long-shot chance to take home some NFL hardware as he owns +18000 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook's latest 2021 MVP odds.
