Browns Get Incredible Update on Denzel Ward

The Cleveland Browns pulled off an upset win on Wild Card Weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers with several key members of the team out, including their head coach. On the player side, star corner back Denzel Ward was forced to miss the playoff game due to COVID-19 protocols.

However, Cleveland got an amazing update on their elite corner on Wednesday.

Having Ward back is an incredible boost for the Browns heading into a matchup against a prolific Kansas City Chiefs offense in the Divisional Round.

In 12 games for Cleveland this season, Ward hauled in 2 interceptions and registered 18 passes defensed, the latter of which tied him for the second most this season.

Kansas City has a bevy of weapons on offense, from wideout Tyreek Hill to tight end Travis Kelce, and they're deep with contributors like Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson as well. Ward's presence will be huge as the Browns hope to slow down the fourth-highest scoring offense in the league.
