David Montgomery Injury Update Boosts Cordarrelle Patterson Fantasy Outlook for Week 10 Monday Night Football

Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery suffered a concussion in Week 9, and it's been confirmed that the injury will sideline him for Chicago's Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
That obviously means fantasy managers need to get Montgomery out of their starting lineup, and it's also a huge boost for Cordarrelle Patterson's fantasy outlook.

Cordarrelle Patterson Fantasy Value Week 10
With Tarik Cohen already out, Montgomery's absence leaves Chicago very thin in the backfield. The only active RBs are now Patterson, Ryan Nall and rookie Artavis Pierce.
When Montgomery made an early exit in Week 9, Patterson was the only RB who recorded a single carry. He's up to 29 rushes and 17 receptions on the season, while Pierce has not played, and Nall has 6 receptions with 0 rush attempts.
A former receiver, Patterson's versatility allows him to fill the void left by both backs, giving him every-down RB upside, which is very valuable in fantasy football.
He's still not an exciting option in an anemic Bears offense. If you need a waiver wire running back sleeper this week, however, Patterson is by far your best bet.
