David Montgomery entered the season with a ton of hype, but he's largely failed to deliver from a fantasy perspective. However, the rookie has been pretty effective recently, and he's about to enter a much more favorable portion of his schedule.

That run begins in Week 10, when his Chicago Bears take on the Detroit Lions.

Montgomery's usage has been maddeningly inconsistent, but he's played at least 72 percent of Chicago's snaps in back-to-back weeks – something he hadn't done once prior to Week 8.

That increased opportunity will be particularly valuable against a Lions' defense that clocks in as the sixth-worst team in both opposing rushing yards per game (135.8) and yards per carry (4.7).

The Lions are also coming off a game in which Josh Jacobs ran wild against them, racking up 120 yards on 28 carries.

This looks like a great spot for Montgomery, and if you've held onto him for this long he could finally start to pay dividends, as he takes on the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants and Lions (twice) in the next four weeks. Montgomery clocks in as RB17 in our Week 10 fantasy football PPR rankings.
