Darius Slay Tweets Epic Response to New Deal With Eagles
It has been a whirlwind 24 hours for Darius Slay and the Philadelphia Eagles. The team was reportedly planning to release the Pro Bowl cornerback on Wednesday in favor of sizable salary cap relief, which caused a frenzy of interest from other teams.
However, a last-minute effort from both sides has now led to Slay staying in Philly. Based on his recent comments, it's safe to say he's excited about this reunion.

Slay tweeted late Wednesday night to celebrate his return. He said, "Back like I never left!!! Run it back" with an eagle emoji.
This news has shocked fans considering how Slay appeared to be on his way out the door. Philadelphia's front office seemingly had a change of heart, though, and Slay was thankfully eager to work things out.
Free agency has seen the Eagles lose several key contributors from their Super Bowl run, but Slay now joins Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce as veterans who have decided to re-up with the team. That experienced core will be vital to Philadelphia defending its NFC title in 2023.
