There's a lot of excitement surrounding the Dallas Cowboys entering the 2021 NFL season. Not only is this team eager to bounce back from an injury-riddled campaign that saw them finish 6-10, but they do so with a fully recovered quarterback.

Dak Prescott is back fully healthy, and happy at home with his new contract, and Cowboys fans are eager to see this offense firing on all cylinders. With all this in mind, Cowboy fans are going to hate the latest player power rankings from ProFootballFocus that see Prescott coming in on the list ranked at No. 50.

Dallas Cowboys News

For Cowboys fans, it's pretty simple - Prescott is a better quarterback than the 50th best player in the entire league. PFF released No. 41-50 on their list in the this first drop and no other quarterbacks find a spot on this list. It's easy to assume, especially considering the pass-friendly status of today's NFL, that a number of quarterbacks will find themselves in the top-40.

Considering that, it's tough to see the league's second-leading passer from 2019 find such a disrespectful spot on this list. The 2019 season was the last full season that Prescott played after being held to just 5 games with a nasty ankle injury in 2020.

In 16 games during the 2019 campaign, Prescott ranked second in the NFL in passing yards (4,902), fourth in passing touchdowns (30) and QBR (71.9), and top-10 in quarterback rating (99.7). Complete with a healthy offensive line and a number of receiving weapons, Prescott should be primed for another big season if he's able to stay healthy for all 16 games.

Right now, the Cowboys own the 11th-best odds (+2800) to win the Super Bowl in 2021, according to the latest NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
