The latest and, perhaps, final chapter of the D'Eriq King's collegiate football story will reportedly take him to the Miami Hurricanes as a transfer quarterback, and his odds to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy were quick to show it, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

King, who opened last season with +5000 odds to win the 2019 Heisman, surprisingly redshirted the 2019-20 season with the Houston Cougars after playing in just four games, and his future home had been up in the air since the announcement.

However, King will now reportedly transfer to Miami, and his 2020 Heisman odds have improved from opening at +1600 to +1400, currently sitting with the fourth-best odds just behind Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler at +1200.

King will now battle for the starting QB position with Jarren Williams and N'Kosi Perry, who were both in the mix for Miami last season. Former five-star QB recruit and Ohio State Buckeye Tate Martell made headlines after transferring to Miami last August in a similar move to King.

Yet, after losing Miami's starting QB job to Williams and then Perry, Martell attempted just one pass for the Canes in 2019-20.

While King's +1400 Heisman odds leave him as an overwhelming favorite over his future QB teammates, Williams currently has +20000 odds to win the 2020 Heisman.

Martell (+25000) had the lowest odds of all available players prior to the news, but now that King is joining the Canes, Martell has been removed from the odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
