Cowboys Odds to Make Playoffs Point to Strong Season Ahead

The Dallas Cowboys are entering a new era. After 10 years at the helm, head coach Jason Garrett has been replaced by Mike McCarthy. Although the Cowboys missed the playoffs last year, they still have plenty of talent on the roster, including Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and a strong offensive line.

After last year's massive disappointment, the Cowboys look ready for a bounce back in 2020, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Cowboys' Odds to Make the Playoffs

Dallas is currently listed at -225 to make the playoffs next year, the best odds in the NFC East and the fourth-best odds in the NFC overall. Their closest rivals in the division, the Philadelphia Eagles, sit at -174. The New York Giants (+300) and Washington Redskins (+460) are well back.

The Cowboys are in a good position due to a weak division and the insurance of a third wild-card spot. While the Eagles should remain competitive in the division despite their draft mistakes, the Cowboys should have a clear path to the postseason.

While the NFC is full of established contenders, the Cowboys are still a reliable pick due to their stability at quarterback and deep roster that has only gotten bette over the offseason. While it remains to be seen whether Mike McCarthy can rise to the task, the fundamentals look good for Dallas in 2020.
