The 2022-23 NFL season has brought a real Super Bowl hangover for Los Angeles Rams fans, and things got much, much worse after Week 10.
Cooper Kupp injured his ankle, and on Tuesday Adam Schefter revealed that Kupp will need to undergo surgery. That has him heading to the injured reserve, where he will be forced to miss at least four weeks of action.
There's obviously no overstating how important Kupp is to this offense. Prior to his injury-shortened Week 10 showing he was averaging 101.6 yards on 9.0 receptions per game. Kupp has 32 more targets, 31 more receptions, 427 more receiving yards and 4 more receiving touchdowns than anyone else in this offense.
Allen Robinson will be forced into the team's WR1 role. He's disappointed all year, but now it's do-or-die time for the hyped-up free agent signing.
And who knows, maybe the answer to the Rams' receiver woes is finally reuniting with Odell Beckham? With the Rams sitting at 3-6, however, Beckham may end up snubbing the Rams in hopes of signing with a contender for a postseason run.
After the bad news on Kupp, FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds have the Rams as massive +4000 underdogs to win the NFC West.
