Colts Odds to Win Super Bowl and AFC Plummet After Andrew Luck Retires
By Brian Giuffra

Andrew Luck shocked the NFL world when he retired from football on Saturday night. But perhaps the shock was nowhere more obvious than at the sportsbooks.
The second Luck decided he was done with football, things changed for the worse for the Indianapolis Colts in the odds. On FanDuel Sportsbook, they went from from +1500 to win the Super Bowl all the way to +6000. They also went from +700 to win the AFC to +3200.
The Andrew Luck Aftermath ?

Colts to win the AFC South
Before: +110
After: 7/1
Colts to win the AFC
Before: 7/1
After: 32/1
Colts to win the Super Bowl
Before: 15/1
After: 60/1
Of course, this makes sense. The Colts went 4-12 without Luck in 2017 and went 10-6 with him last year, winning a playoff game and putting themselves in a place to win the AFC before running into the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round.
Without Luck now, the Colts will rely on Jacoby Brissett as their starter at QB, not that that's a great thing necessarily. He went 4-11 as the team's starter in 2017. Of course, the team has improved a lot since then, especially on the offensive line, so perhaps this could still be their year. But for now, the sportsbooks seemingly don't think Brissett is ready to take the reins and ride the Colts to a Super Bowl win, especially on such short notice.
