The Indianapolis Colts are scrambling to right the ship. Following their 3-3-1 start, the team decided to make a change under center, but that didn't stop them from losing to the Washington Commanders in Week 8.
After that defeat, Indy is now going one step further and shaking up its coaching staff.
The Colts decided to fire offensive coordinator Marcus Brady on Tuesday. Head coach Frank Reich is now set to take over OC duties as this team tries to get back on track.
Brady started his coaching career in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes. After overseeing the wide receiver group for three seasons, he became the OC for Montreal and then took on the same role for Toronto from 2013-2017.
He finally broke into the NFL with Indianapolis in 2018. Brady took over as quarterbacks coach from 2019-2020 before succeeding Nick Sirianni as OC. The Colts had a solid year in 2021, ranking 16th in yards and 9th in points. However, they took a major step back this season, falling all the way to 30th in points and struggling with new QB Matt Ryan at the helm.
Brady's firing could be a sign of things to come if Indy continues to underperform expectations.
