Clyde Edwards-Helaire was insanely productive in his first game at the NFL level. He racked up 138 rushing yards on 25 carries, scoring one TD and averaging a stellar 5.5 yards per carry. In fact, he became one of three rookies ever to rack up more than 130 rushing yards on at least 25 carries in Week 1. The other two were William Andrews and Cadillac Williams.

But CEH set what was arguably a more impressive record on Thursday night as well.

The LSU standout forced seven missed tackles in his debut, which is tied for the best mark ever from a rookie in Week 1.

It also looks like he has nowhere to go but up. Edwards-Helaire does his best work as a pass-catching back, having caught 55 receptions for 453 yards as a junior in 2019.

Playing in one of the NFL's best offenses, the rookie could be in for a record-setting campaign in 2020.
