Tampa Bay Buccaneers' star wide receiver Chris Godwin is dealing with yet another injury. It's a fractured index finger this time, which will require surgery, knocking him out for Week 8 and potentially beyond.

This is obviously a huge blow to the Buccaneers' skill-position group, but it could mean big things for the fantasy value of their other pass-catchers.

Mike Evans Fantasy Outlook

The one who receives the biggest boost in value is Mike Evans. Evans has struggled to produce with Godwin on the field, only really salvaging his fantasy value by scoring red zone TDs.

In the four games he’s played alongside Godwin, Evans has averaged 7.3 PPR points per game. But in the three outings he’s had while Godwin was sidelined, the 6-foot-5 receiver has averaged a stellar 21.2 PPR points per game.

With Godwin out in Week 8, Evans should find himself back in the WR1 conversation. But that could change when and if Antonio Brown is activated.

Antonio Brown Fantasy Outlook

This injury also means Antonio Brown could be asked to handle a bigger workload than expected right away. He’s eligible to return in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints, and Godwin looks iffy for that one at best.

If all goes according to plan and Brown is activated, it’ll be hard to keep him on your bench if Godwin is sidelined. But given all of the issues surrounding AB, it’s hard to view him as anything more than a boom-or-bust WR3 in that one.

Scotty Miller Fantasy Outlook

Scotty Miller is another beneficiary of this news. He’s coming off a breakout game in Week 7, totaling 6 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.

With Godwin sidelined in Week 8, Miller could be looking at a sizable uptick in volume, though he hasn’t performed as well as expected when Godwin has been out.

In three games without Godwin, Miller has averaged just 7.5 PPR points per game (compared to 12.2 when they share the field). Miller should serve as a decent WR3 in Week 8, especially if you’re in a pinch.

Tom Brady’s value, meanwhile, will take a sizable hit in Week 8, though Rob Gronkowski could see a small uptick in fantasy value for Week 8 as well.
