The Indianapolis Colts were the favorites to acquire QB Carson Wentz, and coach Frank Reich and Colts management made it happen this week. Indianapolis has a top-tier offensive line led by premier guard Quenton Nelson. But the recent retirement of left tackle Anthony Castonzo leaves a void that needs to be addressed.

Getting Wentz some passing targets to assist a running game in good hands with Jonathan Taylor will will be a priority if the Colts do not re-sign free agent WR T.Y. Hilton.

Indianapolis could use a strong edge rusher. Two more free agents in the secondary includes a free safety opening. The Colts have a ton of cap space, and rank among the top-three teams in available money, per Over the Cap. With that in mind, here are three players the Colts should target in free agency.

1. Trent Williams, LT, San Francisco

The Colts have the personnel to remain a playoff contender, and adding the biggest and best left tackle available will come at a price. But Williams was dominant again in 2020. He allowed 19 total pressures all season, and finished as PFF's highest-graded tackle. Adding the 32-year-old Williams would move the Colts offensive line to top 3 in the league.

2. Anthony Harris, FS, Minnesota Vikings

The free agent safety market is littered with talent, and Harris won't come cheap. He could command more than $12 million per year. Harris is coming off a bit of an inconsistent season in 2020, but he's a proven playmaker in coverage and a sure tackler in run defense. In 2019, Harris led all NFL safeties with a Pro Football Focus coverage grade of 94.3 and was PFF's highest-graded safety. He'd be a great fit in Indianapolis.

3. Romeo Okwara, DE, Detroit Lions

The Colts ranked just 21st in pressure rate in 2020, per PFF. Indianapolis will look to replace 32-year-old free agent Justin Houston. Lions DE Romeo Okwara had 10 sacks in 2020 and won't demand as big of a contract as some other top-rated defensive linemen. He's a former undrafted free agent, but his upside looks good as along with his double-digit sacks, Owkara had 61 total quarterback pressures in 2020 to rank top 10 in the league.
