The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are finally rounding into form. Early injury troubles weighed the defending champs down, but this team is getting healthier by the week.
Now the Bucs' defense is on the verge of seeing another key piece return to action.
Carlton Davis Injury Update
Cornerback Carlton Davis has been designated to return from the injured reserve list before the team's Week 12 game. The move allows Davis to return to practice and gives him 21 days to be added back to the active roster.
Davis has started 44 of his first 45 games in Tampa Bay, and getting his presence back would give this secondary a serious boost down the stretch. He already racked up 1 interception and 5 pass deflections this season before going down with a quad injury in Week 4.
Davis' potential return comes at a great time, as veteran Richard Sherman was just placed on IR last week.
