As the race to to the NFL Playoff picture heats up, it's never too early to start thinking about the future.

At 7-6 and currently ranked No. 8 in the AFC, the Cleveland Browns are still vying to secure a postseason appearance after a disappointing season. Quarterback Baker Mayfield and the offense have struggled as he's dealt with injuries and they lost top weapon Odell Beckham Jr. because of his discontent with the situation.

That's exactly why Browns fans will love NFL insider Todd McShay's first 2022 NFL Mock Draft as he projects Cleveland to find their OBJ replacement sooner than later.

Browns Mock Draft

McShay projects the Browns to select USC Trojans wide receiver Drake London at No. 18 overall.

Cleveland's strong running back duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt pace this offense at 143.5 rushing yards per game (4th), but it's quite clear that Mayfield needs another pass-catcher to take this attack to the next level. London accomplishes just that.

The standout junior played in just 8 games because of injury, but averages 135.5 receiving yards per game including six games with 100+ yards. He's shown the ability to line up outside and in the slot and has the vertical speed to beat any coverage.

Cleveland puts up the eighth-fewest passing yards per game (205.7) and could use an OBJ replacement as soon as possible to inject life into this offense. Currently, Cleveland holds +104 odds to make the playoffs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
