The Cleveland Browns prep for the 2021 NFL season with some of the highest expectations ever surrounding this franchise. After all, Cleveland finished 11-5 and with the No. 6 seed in the 2020 playoffs despite the absence of their clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver in Odell Beckham Jr.
We all remember when Beckham Jr. suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Week 7 of the 2020 campaign. Fortunately, the Browns relied heavily on their backfield for the rest of the season, one of the best in the entire league. However, OBJ's impact was certainly missed across the entire Browns' organization.
Well, the other top pass-catcher on this roster in Jarvis Landry recently shared an amazing update on Beckham Jr.'s injury rehab at his celebrity softball game on Saturday.
Odell Beckham Jr. Injury
Landry explained that OBJ is back to his old self after the injury and "is better than last year." He doubled down with the comments, saying Beckham Jr. is "doing things that will blow your mind" on the football field.
There's no other way to put it, this is simply amazing news for the Browns' franchise and fanbase. After all, OBJ is considered one of the best wide receivers in football for good reason. In five full seasons (seven total in NFL), Beckham Jr.'s recorded more than 6,200 receiving yards in addition to 439 receptions and 45 touchdowns. That's an average of about 1,240 yards, 88 receptions and 9 touchdowns every year.
The 2019 season was the only time we've seen Landry and OBJ paired together and healthy for an entire season. The result was incredible as the two combined for 157 receptions for 2,209 yards and 10 touchdowns.
