The Browns come in ranked at the No. 4 spot (yes, you're reading that right) thanks to an offseason busy with adding pieces to the defense. Only two other AFC teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, rank higher on this list. And, as a reminder, both of those squads finished as the top-two seeds in the conference last year.

Cleveland finished with 11 wins in 2020 but somehow finished third in the loaded AFC North division. The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to take a step back this season with an aging quarterback and with Cleveland's re-load on defense, this division is the Browns' to lose.

Cleveland general manager Andrew Berry spent the offseason adding a couple of big names to its defense including Jadeveon Clowney, Malik Jackson and John Johnson. Last season, Cleveland's defense was relatively average, giving up 358.4 yards per game.

Berry and the front office also cornerback Greg Newsome II in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

On offense, this offense returns its stars Odell Beckham Jr., Nick Chubb, Jarvis Landry and Baker Mayfield. The Browns scored 25.5 points per game last season, which ranks top-half in the NFL.
