Denver Broncos starting center Lloyd Cushenberry played just 44% of the offensive snaps in Week 8 as he picked up a groin injury. The Broncos then went into a bye week with hopes the extra rest would help their third-year starter nurse back to 100% health.
Unfortunately, that's not been the case.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Cushenberry is headed to the Injured Reserve and will be out for at least four weeks.
Graham Glasgow is slotted behind Chusenberry on the depth chart and figures to takeover every down duties.
It's an unfortunate turn of events for the young offensive lineman. Cushenberry has struggled in 2022, evidenced by his 50.6 rating on PFF, but he's 40 games for the franchise dating back to his rookie year.
The earliest Cushenberry can return is Week 14 when the Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
