Free agent linebacker Shaquem Griffin has been an inspiration to many young NFL fans ever since he got drafted by the Seattle Seahawks back in 2018. Despite having his left hand amputated at the age of 4, Griffin has been able to make an impact at the NFL level and now has a tryout set up with the Denver Broncos.

Griffin is one of several players set to attend Broncos minicamp on a tryout basis in hopes of earning a contract for the 2021 season. The 25-year-old has spent the last three seasons in Seattle racking up 25 tackles, 1.0 sack and a pass breakup while playing in a reserve role.

It's notable to point out that Griffin's lone start in the NFL came against the Broncos during the 2018 season opener. Griffin also played with his twin brother Shaquill on the Seahawks, who has since signed a three-year deal worth $40 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

The Broncos already seem to have a lot of depth at the LB spot including the likes of veteran Von Miller, Josey Jewell and rookie Baron Browning. However, Griffin has been defying the odds his entire life and it wouldn't surprise anyone if he was able to make the active roster.

This is a storyline to keep an eye on as the summer rolls on. Denver heads into the fall with odds set at +156 to make the playoffs and odds set at +2500 to win the Super Bowl, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
