Following Von Miller's Week 7 injury during the Denver Broncos Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns, Denver needed to find a way to add pass-rushing depth on the edge, especially if Miller is in danger of missing games.

Broncos Stephen Weatherly Trade

The team accomplished this in part via a trade with the Minnesota Vikings for defensive lineman Stephen Weatherly. The Broncos sent a 2023 7th-round pick to the Vikings in the deal.

In 6 NFL seasons, Weatherly has 6.0 sacks, 93 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 20 quarterback hits. He has 9 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in 6 appearances for the Vikings so far this season.

Weatherly isn't someone who will come in and make a massive impact right away, but he could prove to be a valuable depth piece along the Broncos' defensive line.

Denver has a home matchup against the Washington Football Team in Week 8.
