The 2022 season didn't go as planned for the Milwaukee Brewers. Major offensive struggles, coupled with a trade deadline that left players upset, eventually doomed this team down the stretch.
Making things even tougher for this club was the fact they dealt with an alleged break-in to their clubhouse during the year.
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, a fan has been charged with felonly burglary following an incident on Sep. 8, 2022. The man allegedly got into the stadium following a doubleheader, then went to the team's clubhouse and took a variety of items, like a laptop, replica World Series ring and even manager Craig Counsell's shaving kit.
Investigators were able to recover "most of the items" that were stolen, though the team declined to comment on the matter on Friday.
This is an insane story involving an intoxicated fan and an empty clubhouse. The 25-year-old who's the subject of the criminal complaint could "face up to 12 years and six months in prison, or be fined up to $25,000, or both" if convicted.
