Despite the 2021 MLB Season being less than a week old, the Atlanta Braves are shaking up the World Series odds despite a slow start.

Upon first glance, you may be scratching your head. The Braves have started the season 1-4 and are tied for last in the NL East. It's not often that teams see their odds improve after a start like that, but this could be an anomaly.

Despite their 1-4 start, the Braves have too much talent to stay in the basement forever. Players like Marcell Ozuna, Ronald Acuña and Freddie Freeman are just too good not to lift the Braves to a better performance.

With that being said, the Braves still have better odds to win the World Series today than they did at the start of the preseason.

Atlanta Braves World Series Odds 2021

Before the 2021 MLB Season began, the Braves had +1000 odds to win the World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook. It makes sense that they had favorable odds because they had made it to the NLCS last season before losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games. Now, their odds of winning the championship have moved to +950.

While it's not a huge jump by any means, the Braves went from having fifth-best odds to third-best odds with this move. To keep these odds, Atlanta is going to have to play better baseball than they have been so far.

The Braves' odds to win the NL East are at +160 and +500 to win the National League title.
