Braves Being Disrespected in Odds to Win NL East on FanDuel Sportsbook

The Atlanta Braves 2021 MLB season couldn't have gone any better. Despite winning only 88 games, the Braves went on a magical playoff run that culminated with them winning their first World Series title since 1995.
As the Braves look to become the first back-to-back champions in over 20 years, their journey first begins with trying to win their fifth consecutive NL East divisional title. Unfortunately, their odds to accomplish that on FanDuel Sportsbook are just straight up disrespectful.
Braves NL East Odds 2022
Although FanDuel Sportsbook is favoring the Braves to win the NL East at +125, those odds are only marginally better than the second-place New York Mets (+200) and third-place Philadelphia Phillies (+340).
The odds are even more disrespectful when you take Atlanta's recent success against its rivals into account. The Braves boast 164 wins against the NL East since 2018, which is 32 wins more than the next-closest team.
The Braves' odds could be associated with the fact that they lost former NL MVP Freddie Freeman this offseason. Even if that's the case, Matt Olson is a suitable replacement at first after recording 89 home runs and 244 RBIs in his last 343 games, which translates to 42 HRs and 115 RBIs in a 162-game season.
Despite the Braves' less-than-stellar NL East odds, they're still one of the favorites to win a championship this Fall. Atlanta currently has +1200 odds (T-No. 4) to win the 2022 World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
