The Pittsburgh Steelers trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick turned out to be a remarkably savvy move. When the Steelers realized the Miami Dolphins were trying to move on from their 2018 first-round pick after Week 2 in 2019, they quickly put together a deal to bring him to Pittsburgh.

That move worked out very well as Fitzpatrick started 14 games and pulled down 5 interceptions en route to first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. Fitzpatrick seems much happier in Pittsburgh and has established himself as one of the top safeties in football. Now, the staff at Bleacher Report is predicting even greater heights for Fitzpatrick in 2020.

In his latest article predicting NFL stat leaders for next season, Bleacher Report's Maurice Moton projects Fitzpatrick to lead the NFL in interceptions with 7 next year.

That would be more than any player recorded in 2019 and double his career total. Fitzpatrick certainly has an innate ability to record interceptions, as he recorded 6 interceptions in 15 games during his sophomore year at Alabama.

The last Steelers safety to record 7 interceptions in one season was club legend Troy Polamalu, who pulled it off in 2008 and 2010. Fitzpatrick certainly has the talent and opportunity to match Polamalu's feat in 2020 and help lead the Steelers to success.
