Here's three of the best prop bets for Blazers-Nuggets, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Blazers vs Nuggets Prop Bets
1. Dennis Smith Jr. - Assists: Over 6.5 (-144)
Dennis Smith Jr. will be the Portland Trail Blazers' leading playmaker on Thursday given their current health issues. Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Norman Powell and Anfernee Simons are all out for Thursday's contest, leaving Smith as the only healthy PG. Smith put up 6, 7 and 5 assists in his three spot starts earlier this year, but now he'll be running the show. Simons managed 11 dimes on Jan. 10 in a similar role, so the playmaking potential is there for DSJ.
2. Nikola Jokic - Points: Over 24.5 (-118)
The Blazers own one of the worst defenses in the league, ranking in the top five for most opponent PPG and allowing the highest opponent 3-point percentage in the league. That's an appetizing matchup for Nikola Jokic, who's averaging 25.7 PPG and hitting 35.4% of his 3-point shots while hoisting a career-high 4.2 attempts per game. Jokic only needed 28 minutes to put 28 points against Portland earlier this year, and he should feats against the undermanned Blazers.
3. Jusuf Nurkic - Rebounds: Under 9.5 (+104)
The Nuggets' deep frontcourt is the opposite of an appealing matchup for Jusuf Nurkic. Jokic presents a major obstacle for any opposing big man's rebounding totals thanks to his average of 14.1 RPG. Nurkic has struggled against Denver this year, recording 7 and 6 boards, respectively, in two previous meetings. One of those outings was in a 29-point blowout where Nurkic's night was short short after just 22 minutes. With the Blazers as 11-point underdogs in this one, history may repeat itself.
