Best NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 4

While plenty of NFL fans are playing fantasy football, survivor pools are a great alternative, or addition to, your normal fantasy or betting intake. If you're looking for an explanation on how to play in a survivor pool, a full explanation can be found here.
For those still alive, here are our Week 4 survivor pool picks
1. Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions, Sunday, 1 p.m. EST
The Kansas City Chiefs have picked up right where they left off in 2018, starting out with a 3-0 record in 2019. Patrick Mahomes has apparently never heard of the sophomore slump, because he's just as good, if not better, than last year. The Chiefs' scoring offense ranks No. 3 in the NFL with an average 33.7 points per game (PPG), while the Detroit Lions are putting up 22.3 PPG. The Lions have also struggled to defend the pass this season, ranking No. 22 in passing yards allowed per game (269.3) and No. 20 in yards per completion (11.7). Going up against Mahomes and a Chiefs' offense that has a high propensity for huge passing plays and ranks No. 1 in passing yards per game (392.3), No. 1 in passing touchdowns per game (3.3) and No. 1 in yards per completion (14.4), the Lions could face some real problems on the defensive end this weekend.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams, Sunday, 4:05 p.m. EST
This matchup is between two teams trending in opposite directions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sit at 1-2, coming off a heartbreaking loss to the New York Giants that saw them surrender an 18-point lead in the second half to rookie Daniel Jones in his first career start. The Los Angeles Rams, on the other hand, are 3-0 and coming off a solid win on "Sunday Night Football" over the Browns in Cleveland. The two teams are fairly close in offensive output, with the Rams scoring a little more than a field goal more per game than the Buccaneers. Although, the defensive end is where the real difference lies. The Rams surrender 16.3 PPG (No. 7 in the NFL), while the Bucs give up 25.7 PPG (No. 22 in the NFL). Additionally, the Rams are surrendering only 9.0 PPG and scoring 27.0 PPG at home this season, while the Bucs are averaging 20.0 PPG on the road.
3. Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins
Here we are once again, taking the team playing the Miami Dolphins, which has worked out perfectly so far and there's no reason to think it won't continue in Week 4. The Dolphins have been torched on defense in every game this season, giving up 291.3 passing yards per game (No. 28 in the NFL). Miami has also surrendered the most passing touchdowns per game in the NFL with 3.3. While we're at it, the Fins also give up the most rushing yards per game with a whopping 208, which is 40 yards more per game than any other team. How does this translate against the Los Angeles Chargers you ask? Well, so far this season, the Chargers rank No. 5 in the NFL in passing yards per game and No. 13 in passing touchdowns per game. Additionally, their starting running back, Austin Ekeler, is currently the No. 3 running back in fantasy football and their top wide receiver, Keenan Allen, is currently the No. 1 wide receiver in fantasy in terms of points scored. Both should cause major problems for the Swiss cheese Dolphins defense on the way to an easy road win.
