The Cincinnati Bengals will be meeting with former Kansas City Chiefs center Austin Reiter on Monday, July 26, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The 29-year-old veteran has spent the last three seasons with the Chiefs after being a seventh-round selection by the Cleveland Browns in 2015.
The news comes as the Bengals have spent the offseason trying to give quarterback Joe Burrow the best chance at success in the 2021 NFL season. After all, the young signal-caller was sacked 32 times in 11 starts last season and it was a quarterback hit that caused his season-ending knee injuries in Week 11.

Reiter was one of the important pieces to the Chiefs offensive line over the past two seasons, starting in 28 of the 31 regular season games he played in. He didn't allow a sack nor did he take a penalty over 867 offensive snaps in 2020 and was given a 70.9 overall grade by Pro Football Focus.
Whether or not Reiter signs with Cincinnati, the Bengals aren't projected to find much success in the 2021 NFL season. They're listed at +10000 when it comes to winning Super Bowl 56, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, which puts them in a tie for third-worst odds in the NFL.
