While the Cincinnati Bengals are an impressive 3-1 to start the season, they've had to play half their games without second-year wideout Tee Higgins due to a shoulder injury. The good news is that's about to change in Week 5.
After a week of limited practices, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Higgins has been looking good and will play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Tee Higgins Injury Update
A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Higgins didn't have much of an issue transitioning from the collegiate to professional level of football last year. He finished his rookie year as Cincinnati's top wideout, leading the team in both receiving yards (908) and touchdowns (6).
Higgins had a strong start to the current campaign, hauling in 10-of-15 targets for 118 yards and a pair of TDs in two games. Assuming that his shoulder issue is a thing of the past, he should pick up right from where he left off.
Having a player of Higgins' caliber on the field with rookie sensation Ja'Marr Chase for the first time since Week 2 will provide a much-needed boost to the Bengals' aerial game. While Cincinnati has had a successful start to the year, the team is averaging just 227.5 passing yards per game (23rd).
Higgins could see a lot of action during his return in a game that should be a potential shootout with FanDuel Sportsbook setting the projected total at 50.5.
