The optimism surrounding Justin Fields in his first start for the Chicago Bears quickly dissipated on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns' defense harassed the rookie all day, which prompted ire from fans over Matt Nagy's lacking game plan.

Chicago's evident struggles even made a Bears legend take aim at Nagy's abilities.

Olin Kreutz pulled no punches with his comments after the game. He clearly believes Nagy is the root of the Bears' problems, and it's foolish to keep questioning why the team isn't performing up to expectations when the answer is right there.

Chicago's gritty Week 2 over the Cincinnati Bengals was welcomed after their Week 1 shellacking, but Sunday's game was much of the same. The Bears' passing offense had a net of 1 -- yes one -- yard, and they only had 47 total yards on the day. Cleveland also racked up 9.0 sacks against a pathetic Chicago offensive line.

It's worth wondering if Nagy is even capable of putting his rookie QB in a position to succeed. A loss in Week 4 to the winless Detroit Lions could spur some major changes in this early part of the year.
