AL Cy Young Odds: Gerrit Cole Holding Lead at FanDuel Sportsbook Halfway Through MLB Season

New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole continues to lead the AL Cy Young race halfway through the MLB campaign, according to MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. But, his lead is not a commanding one with Chicago White Sox starter Carlos Rodon moving up.

Cole (-160) is holding the lead in the AL Cy Young race over a pair of White Sox teammates in lefty Carlos Rodon (+300) and veteran Lance Lynn (+550). Injuries have sidelined Shane Bieber, Tyler Glasnow and John Means, and hurt their chances to win and remain in the American League Cy Young race.

Cole has struggled in the month of June. He allowed two or more earned runs in five consecutive June starts, his longest such streak since early 2019. That included five earned runs allowed against both division rivals Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox in 5.0 innings each start. That moved Cole's ERA up to 2.66 compared to Rodon's 2.37 ERA, which is second-best in the league behind Kyle Gibson (2.00).
