AJ Brown and Other Eagles Tweet Amazing Reactions to Jalen Hurts Extension

The Philadelphia Eagles went into this offseason with one big goal: find a way to keep Jalen Hurts in town for the long term. On Monday morning, the Eagles got the job done, inking the 24-year-old signal caller to a $255 million contract extension.

Eagles fans are understanbaly thrilled to have Hurts locked up, but his teammates are even more excited, with a bunch of them taking to Twitter to congratulate their captain on his new deal.

We know wideout AJ Brown is happy. He also enjoyed a career year in his first season catching passes from Hurts, so it's no surprise this combination is thrilled to be working together for years to come.

Offensive lineman Lane Johnson supported his QB just like he does on the field, ready to continue protecting him for as long as he's there. Fellow O-Lineman Jordan Mailata joined in as well.

Even players on the defensive side of the ball chimed in. Superstar cornerback Darius Slay, who came close to leaving Philadelphia this offseason, was psyched about the new deal for Hurts. Slay and the defense were a huge part of the team's success last season, but he knows how important Hurts is.

It's surely a day of celebration in the City of Brotherly Love, and now the team can move its focus entirely to the NFL Draft, which kicks off on Thursday, April 27.
