The 2020 NFL MVP race has been an exciting one through nearly 14 full weeks in the books, but as we hit the final stretch, it appears as though it's narrowed down to just two final contenders: Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.

Following an uncharacteristically poor performance from Mahomes with three interceptions against the Miami Dolphins and another three-touchdown game from Aaron Rodgers in Week 14, the odds to win this year's NFL MVP have gotten even tighter at the top.

Mahomes still retains the odds-on favorite standing, sitting at -250 to win the MVP, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, but Rodgers made up some serious ground behind a stellar performance against the Lions on Sunday.

Rodgers' odds have now improved from +450 as of just under a week ago to +175 as of this Monday, Dec. 14. On the other end, Mahomes' -250 odds have dropped a staggering amount from -500 in this same window.

In terms of total touchdowns and interceptions on the season, Rodgers actually now holds the edge as well. Rodgers has thrown for fewer total yards (3,685), but leads Mahomes in TDs (39) and fewer INTs (4). Mahomes has tossed for 4,208 yards, but only 33 TDs and five INTs.

While the odds still favor Mahomes for the time being, Rodgers is certainly trending in the right direction for a chance to surpass the defending Super Bowl champion after Week 14.
