Aaron Jones was a fantasy football darling heading into the 2019 NFL season. And it seems like all the hype finally paid off in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Green Bay Packers' running back racked up 107 rushing yards on 19 carries to go along with seven catches for 75 yards and a whopping four rushing TDs.

That all added up to 49.20 fantasy points in PPR leagues or 45.7 points in half-point PPR leagues. Jones outpaced another huge fantasy week from Christian McCaffrey, who tallied 44.7 points in half-point PPR leagues and 47.70 in PPR formats.

Most Rushing TDs in a Game

That was mainly because Jones had four rushing touchdowns to McCaffrey's three total TDs (two rushing, one receiving). The record for most rushing touchdowns in a single game is five, held by five players, including Jim Brown, of the Cleveland Browns, in 1959, and most recently Clinton Portis, of the Denver Broncos, in 2003. While Jones came up one short of the record, his fantasy owners surely appreciated the massive output from the Packers' running back.

Jones had just over 55 fantasy points through the first four games so a day like this is likely an outlier. However, with at least 14 points in four of the five weeks so far, labeling Jones a must-start RB1 isn't out of the question moving forward.
