With the tear the Greek Freak has been on, we all knew this was coming.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden have left the other competitors in the dust in the race for the league's Most Valuable Player award. One of those horses is now pulling away and trotting off into the distance to collect his hardware.

Antetokounmpo has extended the gap between himself and Harden with just 12 games left to play.

We've seen Harden go on some incredible runs this season, but he's running out of games to do so if he wants to make this a closer contest. The last time we wrote this story, Giannis was -185 and Harden was +120, so clearly, he's pulling away.

To say Giannis has been unstoppable lately would be an understatement. In his last five games, the Greek Freak has averaged 32.4 points, 13.4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks while leading the Bucks to the best record in the NBA. It's hard to ignore what he's doing on the court, with Harden's stretch of 30-point games fading into distant memory.

Giannis has had the numbers to back it up, but you can't argue his value to this team. As long as the Bucks continue to win and have the best record in the NBA when everyone thought they were pretenders before the season started, he's going to lead this race.
