Trevor Larnach to Hit a Home Run (+560)

I’m taking a bigger swing than usual today and targeting Trevor Larnach at these long odds in a date with Slade Cecconi.

Larnach is cooking. In June, he recorded a .401 wOBA, and he’s kept rolling in July, boasting a silly .505 wOBA so far in a small sample. He does almost all of his work against RHPs, generating a .375 wOBA in the split.

There’s definitely some pinch-hit risk with Larnach if he sees a left-hander out of the Cleveland Guardians‘ bullpen. However, I think that’s baked into the market — maybe too much so — and it’s not a lock Larnach would get pulled as the Minnesota Twins are a little short-handed in the outfield at the moment.

Cecconi has been meh this year, pitching to a 4.50 SIERA, 17.7% K rate and 8.4% swinging-strike rate. He’s a quality matchup for a red-hot Larnach, and I’m into these long HR odds.
