Travis Kelce is a Risky Fantasy Play Against Patriots

As anyone of his owners can attest to, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been one of the best tight ends in fantasy football over the past several seasons. Well, unless he plays against the New England Patriots, that is.

Despite all his greatness, Kelce has accumulated only 217 yards receiving and a single touchdown across the four games he's played against them.

Clearly, those numbers aren't what you'd want to see out of a stud tight end like Kelce, and New England's 2018 DVOA versus tight ends doesn't make his outlook seem anymore optimistic. The only misnomer, of course, is the game from 2014 where basically every Chiefs' player had the game of their life.

Kelce tallied 93 of his 217 yards against the Patriots in the one home game he played against New England and he could be in for a good performance with Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball.

However, starting him is still pretty risky. Based on his price tag, DFS players might be better off starting a cheaper tight end and allocating the extra cap space to other skill position players.
