As we get deeper into the NBA season, a number of betting trends start to emerge. One that has been especially profitable so far this season is betting home teams in the second game of a home-and-home series.

Up to this point in the year, teams in that specific situation are undefeated straight up, sporting an 8-0 record, and are almost as impressive against the spread with a 6-2 ATS record.

On Thursday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs began their home-and-home series in the Lone Star state. The Spurs playing at home won the game, thus opening up the door to make a bet solely based on this trend.

On Saturday night, the Spurs will travel to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and the Thunder will have the chance to move the record for home teams in the back end of a home-and-home series to 9-0 SU and 7-2 ATS.

The sample size on this trend may be small, but the percentages are overwhelming. It might be too early for you to place a big bet on on this one, but it's surely something to take notice of as the season progresses. But, at the end of the day, it's pretty hard to argue with undefeated.
