All eyes will be on Foxborough on Sunday night when the reigning AFC champions take on the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. It will be a game that shapes the NFL season, but it's also an intriguing fantasy quarterback matchup as Tom Brady and Pat Mahomes face off.


Currently, the over/under for Brady's FanDuel fantasy points sits at 24.5 while Mahomes over/under is 23.5. With lots of points expected in this contest, it's not a question of if but when these players will hit their over.


Through five weeks, here's how the QBs have fared so far.


Mahomes: 28.3 points, 38.8 points, 25.3 points, 22.9 points, 15.8 points

Brady: 21.3 points, 16.4 points, 7.5 points, 19 points, 27.5 points


Mahomes has scored more than 23.5 points in three of his five games while Brady has only hit more than 24.5 points once, and that came last week. Honestly, if this over/under had been posted before that performance, it would have been absurd. But Brady has been performing like the fantasy stud he is, after a slow start to the year, and now faces off with the 31st ranked pass defense in the NFL. The Patriots pass defense sits at 14th in the NFL. So while Mahomes clearly has the statistical advantage, Brady has the matchup advantage.

The second-year QB is an unbelievable talent, and the Chiefs will have a ​tough task winning this game, but Pats coach Bill Belichick has had 10 days to prepare a defensive scheme and that should scare Mahomes over bettors. But it's still very close, and both players could easily hit the over.

​By the closest of margins, Brady has the advantage here. Either way, TB12 will pick apart this Chiefs defense and come out with more fantasy points. Mahomes might also top his number, but the veteran will likely assert his dominance over the youngster.
