After a mammoth Week 5 college football slate that featured two Top-10 showdowns, the Texas Longhorns are actually the hottest stock flying up the chart to win it all.

And no, Texas wasn't even part of either of those Top-10 showdowns, but the books didn't care because apparently, a 19-14 battle (failing to cover an 8.5-spread) over Kansas State on the road without Texas' offensive coordinator was enough.

The Longhorns are far from the favorites to win the College Football Playoff, with the eighth-best current odds. But Texas has flown from +30000 in Week 3 all the way to +6500 by the end of Week 5 heading into next Saturday.

It's a longshot, but if you doubled down on the Longhorns in Week 3, you have to love the way things are looking going into Week 6.
