NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has indicated that "all signs have pointed to Ryan Fitzpatrick continuing on" as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback.

It wouldn't be much of a surprise, considering Fitzpatrick leads the NFL with 1,230 passing yards and ranks second with 11 touchdown passes.

Former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston will likely have to wait until Fitzpatrick falters to get back in the starting lineup. Winston, who has thrown 69 touchdowns and 44 interceptions over three years in the league, was suspended for the first three games of this season after violating the NFL's personal conduct policy over two years ago.

The job is Fitzpatrick's to lose, and while everyone expects him to relinquish the role sooner than later, he will have a tough time on a short week against a stingy Chicago Bears defense in Week 4. The Bucs have a bye in Week 5 before facing the Atlanta Falcons on the road.

Stay tuned, and get the popcorn ready for more drama following Sunday's game.
